Tacoma used to be Seattle‘s blue collar neighbor. Now that it’s incorporated in the Seattle metroplex, it remains blue collar, but with the busy port and factories now a part of Seattle, people and money have moved in.
The docks see a large part of all the business going through the Port of Seattle. Despite all the modernizations, Tacoma has kept it’s old time downtown area with buildings more than two hundred years old. The most striking feature in Tacoma are probably the Twin Towers of the Shiawase cooperation.
